Expansion of reflux diagnostics: introduction of the Digitrapper™ pH-Z test system

We are pleased to announce an exciting new addition to our reflux diagnostics. In addition to our proven use of the Bravo capsule, we have now added the advanced Digitrapper™ pH-Z testing system to our diagnostic repertoire. This integration enables an even more precise and comprehensive examination of reflux symptoms.

Why this addition?

Reflux disease can have a significant impact on quality of life. By combining the Bravocapsule with the Digitrapper™ pH-Z test system, we now offer our patients a state-of-the-art solution to accurately diagnose and monitor their symptoms. While the Bravocapsule reliably measures acidity, the Digitrapper™ pH-Z test system adds impedance measurements to the analysis, making it possible to differentiate between acid and non-acid reflux and between reflux and non-reflux events.

How the Digitrapper™ pH-Z test system works:

  • Easy to use: A thin catheter with pH and impedance sensors is inserted into the oesophagus. This continuously measures the acidity and impedance in the esophagus.
  • Data recording: The recorded data is transmitted to a small recorder, which stores and analyzes the information.
  • Comprehensive analysis: The system provides a detailed overview of reflux symptoms and helps the doctor to identify the exact causes and develop the best treatment options.

Advantages for our patients:

  • Accuracy:The combination of pH and impedance measurements enables a more precise diagnosis.
  • Treatment optimization: Comprehensive data analysis enables the best treatment methods to be selected.
  • Long-term monitoring: Patients can have their symptoms monitored over a longer period of time, leading to more effective treatment.

We are convinced that this addition to our diagnostic methods will make a decisive contribution to further improving the diagnosis and treatment of reflux diseases and increasing the quality of life of our patients.

Stay healthy and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or require further information.
At present, we can only offer the Digitrapper system for privately insured and self-paying patients.
