First outpatient endoscopic full wall resection

The ablation stump of a high grade IEN in the sigmoid colon was removed after piece meal EMR. The patient remained symptom-free. Histological all-clear: no residual neoplasia.

Unfortunately, this intervention can currently only be carried out on an outpatient basis for privately insured patients. There is still no billing option in the SHI sector. I hope for the next AOP amendment.
